Explore Los Haitises, one of four National Parks in the Dominican Republic, with protected virgin forests where only a limited amount of tourists are allowed to visit.
We'll sail out to the park on a catamaran, well equipped with beverages for all on board, where you'll have the opportunity to stroll along the shores lined with mangroves and tropical vegetation. Explore the river banks that flow through the island into the majestic Caribbean.
Along with exploring the tropical forests, we'll head underground into the caves where the native Taino Indians used to live in the island before the discovery of the Americas. We’ll learn about their vibrant history, their peaceful culture, and advanced society.
We'll pop into a small fishing cabin to try traditional, tasty rice before heading back to the port.
