A show based on the Taino worldview, starting from the dawn of time and transcending to our times.

Act 1

Yocah'u Bagua Maorocoti:

Guakia baba, turey toca, guami-ke-ni, guami-caraya-guey, guariko guakia, tayno-ti, bo-matum.

Our Father, who art in heaven, King of sea and land, King of sun and moon, come to us, good, great, bountiful.

Quisquella:

The aboriginal Taino word means "Mother of all lands". The creation of the botanical world endemic to the island, where it was believed that there were several gods who ruled this world.

Ceremonial Drum:

It celebrates the fusion of the natural elements representing the great spirit of "YAYA", the giver of life, the origin of all creation, the enlightened grandfather.

Cemís:

Abstract, naturalistic divinities that represent the spirit of animals, people and plants that surround us to create the link of talking to our gods.

Atabey:

Goddess of the moon, fertility and the sea, through her figure she serves as a guide for all those who pay tribute to her.

Act 2

The great Arahuaco voyage:

The story goes that a large group of Amerindians left the mouth of the Orinoco River to make a journey across the sea to Quisquella, where they would be called TAINOS, which in its oral translation means Good People.

Yucayeque:

Gathered before the Areito ceremonial site, the community organizes itself to ask their ancestors for permission to build the Bohíos, which will form the Taino village.

Cohoba:

The most important ceremony will be preceded by the BEHIQUE, who is the shaman, with the intention of communicating with his gods to make requests and premonitions.

Bayamanaco:

The wizened god, lord of fire, possessor of the most ancient secrets of humanity, through whom the possibility of renewing each universal cycle is found.

Act 3

New World:

On 5 December 1492, Christopher Columbus and a group of Spanish navigators arrived on the island. In the final days of his first voyage to "the Indies" he established a settlement on the north coast which he called the Christmas fort (because it was 25th December). To establish this fort, he used the wreck of the Santa María caravel, which had capsized.

Palo Mayombe:

The arrival of new cultures would create the process of transculturation and miscegenation between the different communities that would share more than just a religiously syncretized territory from Africa.

Anacaona:

Flor de Oro (Golden Flower) was the last great Taino chieftain of Quisquella. She ruled the realm of Jaragua and would be remembered for being beautiful, cultured and a believer in peace.

Essence:

Over time, our identity was formed, with the colors of the sea and the sky that surrounds us, the happiness that exists in the sincere smile of our resilient people in any situation and above all, the union of our people that gave birth to our great paradise: the Dominican Republic.
