1- For Bahia Principe the safety of its guests is a priority and for this we have multiple measures and protocols in place, such as a comprehensive security system with security personnel and technical resources including video surveillance cameras in the common areas of the property.
2- Use the safes in your rooms to store money and any valuables. The hotel will only be responsible for items and effects deposited in the guest's room safe.
3- The hotel expressly prohibits guests and visitors from carrying or possessing firearms on hotel property. We reserve the right to ask guests and visitors who do not comply with this policy to leave the hotel premises.
4- Inappropriate or abusive behavior that disturbs the coexistence and/or the development of the activities of the guests is not permitted. This includes, but is not limited to, unsolicited physical contact, harassment, vandalism, theft, violence, excessive noise, underage drinking, providing alcohol to underage persons, possession of illegal drugs, substances or items, or any other illegal or offensive conduct, including the posting or placing of materials (signs, decorations, etc.) anywhere in the hotel that management may deem offensive or inappropriate. The hotel reserves the right to take any measures it deems necessary, including the expulsion of guests engaging in inappropriate behavior or in cases where the hotel's rules are not complied with, and the hotel may request the assistance of the police to intervene in such cases.
5- Sports, water activities, use of vehicles, excursions, use of swimming pools and other related activities present a certain degree of danger, and the guest's voluntary participation or use thereof entails the risk of serious, severe and permanent injury or death, for which the hotel assumes no responsibility whatsoever for damages of any nature that may arise as a result.
6- The supplementary services contracted by the guest with independent third parties are the sole responsibility of their providers. Therefore, the guest expressly waives and desists from bringing any action against the hotel related to any damage or harm of a physical or mental nature that the guest may allege to have suffered when contracting these services.
7- The guest acknowledges that the hotel may not be held liable for the intentional or negligent acts of any persons not employed by the hotel, nor for any intentional or negligent acts of the hotel's employees committed while outside their working hours.
8- Staff members are not permitted to socialize with guests beyond their professional duties and are not allowed in the rooms except during the performance of their duties. Guests are expected to abide by these policies and, likewise, are prohibited from engaging in physical relations with staff members.
9- In the event of an act of God or force majeure and without prior notice, and in order to safeguard the integrity of the guests, the hotel may relocate the accommodation reservation, without incurring any obligation to the guest other than a refund equivalent to the lodging rate..
10- Guests are expected to be responsible for their actions at all times, including during transfers and onshore excursions. Excessive alcohol consumption can alter perception and lead to inappropriate or dangerous situations for guests and those around them. Guests who choose to consume alcohol must do so responsibly. The hotel staff may refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to any guest who does not consume alcohol in a responsible manner. The minimum age for consuming alcoholic beverages in our hotel is 18 years old. No guest under this age may be in possession of, or consume alcohol during their stay at the hotel. Any guest who violates this alcohol policy, including but not limited to underage drinking or providing alcohol to minors, will be subject to disciplinary action in accordance with our Guest Conduct Policy and may lose their privileges to use other areas or facilities of the hotel.
11- Parents are responsible for the behavior and proper supervision of minors accompanying them during their stay at our property. A minor is defined as any person under the age of 18. This responsibility applies at all times, regardless of whether parents (and guardians) are physically in the company of the minor(s) under their care.
12- The hotel will hold personal belongings left by guests for 90 days only. Once this period of time has elapsed, and in the event that the belongings have not been effectively removed by the client who owns them (or another person designated to do so by the client), they will be definitively disposed of, and the guest will not be able to claim any liability beyond this 90-day period.
