The World Environment Day

The World Environment Day is a link through which the United Nations to sensitize world opinion in relation to environmental issues and intensify attention and political action.

The main objectives are to give a human context, motivating people to become active agents of sustainable and equitable development, promote community role in changing attitudes towards environmental issues and promote cooperation so that the medium sustainable environment, as this will ensure all nations and peoples enjoy a safer and more prosperous future.

The World Environment Day is an event where multiple activities: concentrations in streets, green concerts, essays and poster competitions in schools and colleges, tree planting, recycling campaigns and cleaning, among others. It is also an event leading multimedia journalists to write and critical reporting about the environment. Television documentaries, photo exhibitions, intellectual events such as seminars, round tables, conferences, just to name a few.

This year the host country is Mongolian, and its slogan is Think, feeds and save

In many countries this celebration is an opportunity to sign or ratify international conventions and sometimes provides permanent governmental structures dealing with environmental management and economic planning. In our case it is a time to share with our guests and remind them how important it is to keep our planet healthy earth.
